Hi All,

A relatively quiet weekend of races ahead of the Easter weekend and a shorter update than usual. I am sure many Pacers will be heading to the Sudbury Fun Run on Friday, good luck to those entered. We did have a women’s team in the Southern Road Relays today, with our line up being Lara Franklin, Laura Blazey, Gem Carter, Katie King, Stacey Mockford and Cath Jeffery. Six amazing runners! They look like they have been getting on well, with one runner left to take part in their leg according to the current results, which are posted here.

Earlier this week, a number of our members took part in the Hyrox event at Olympia, with Todd Lewis and Rob Wallace securing a new PB of 1.03 and Ian Gooderham and Sharon White making their debut in 1.24. Claire and Phil Brown continue to do well in this event, and are already looking to enter another! Hyrox has proven a great way to help runners with strength and conditioning, as well as a bit of speed, some of us train on Fridays so do let Ian or Chris Harman know if you would like to come along.

I have been in Germany for the last few days and took part in the Berlin Half Marathon earlier today, enjoying the run in 1.45. Katie Margarson joined me and was rewarded for all of her hard work this winter with a new shiny PB of 1.33! Amazing time and run ahead of a busy season for Katie.

Another weekend highlights include:

– Dave Beighton completed his parkrun alphabet in Zegerplas and then ran in a 4k on a F1 circuit the next day! Well done Dave.
– Alastair Angus ran 1.21 over the half distance in Sheffield, a great run.
– Natasha Michael ran 1.27 at Fleet Half Marathon, well done.

Next week I am away so Chris will send any updates over the weekend. Chris also sent our an email about membership earlier this week, with emails due to land over the next few days, do watch out for these!
