The Round Norfolk Relay is a unique team relay in which Pacers take part each year, usually with two or more teams.
The course of the Round Norfolk Relay mirrors the county boundary over a distance of 197 miles, divided into 17 unequal stages (see illustration below). Norfolk’s enormous skies, vast sandy beaches, open spaces and picturesque towns and villages, with their attractive cottages and medieval churches, all contribute to making the race the ultimate running club experience.
This event is free of charge and open to all Pacers, of all abilities.
Chris Mower and Ian Gooderham have the mammoth task of not just putting together the teams of 17 runners, but also of co-ordinating volunteers to help time-keep, ferry runners between stages and support runners (car and bike) for all stages.
Please either email Ian or speak to either Ian or Chris if you are interested in either running or volunteering. They are usually at the track every Wednesday evening and would love to hear from you!
