Club update…

Dear All,

The topic of the weekend was the wind, which assisted and prohibited many a run by the sounds of it! The marathon season was well and truly kicked off with Boston UK, Brighton and Paris today and it looks like Pacers took part in all three events. Mark Davies ran an incredible race at Boston to record a 13 minute PB in 3.34, super run Mark after some brilliant training recently, enjoy the celebrations! Further South in Brighton, congratulations go to Tom Gladstone for finishing his first marathon and then over the channel in Paris, Matt Grundill ran the marathon in 3.54 for a new PB – well done!!
Other great runs this weekend were:

– Sarah Golding and Haley Suttle took part in the Lake Garda Half – with Sarah recording a PB. Congratulations ladies!
– Josh Carr ran the 10k at Boston in just over 47 minutes on his road to recovery from injury, a great effort.

– Natasha Michael ran the Brighton 10k in 40.11 – well done!
– Anna ran her first race at the Wild Deer in Thetford, hopefully the first of many 🙂
Volunteers Needed – Stephen Williams 10k – Sunday 10th May
We still need around 12 marshalls and volunteers for this year’s race, do remember if you plan to enter the club ballot for London Marathon this winter you will need to have volunteered at least one Pacers event and this marks your last chance this year. If you or a family member or friend can help, please email Annie who is cc’d into this email.
