Hi All,

Another busy weekend, with the Eastern Counties Cross Country Championships on Saturday and a number of events on Sunday. We had a huge number of Pacers competing at the regional level and some impressive results. Our senior ladies team of Lara Franklin, Cath Jeffery and Katie King won the title, with Lara an impressive sixth overall, Cath second in her age category and Katie third in hers. The senior men were second team and Chris Mower won his age prize, with Ady Frost close behind.

On the Junior side, a number of runners were in the top five within their age category including Millie McNeill, Verity Valentine, Sophie Bolton, Joshua Wigmore, Alfie Jeffery and Angus Blackburn, brilliant running all!

The next cross country races are:

Suffolk Winter League at Woodbridge, Sunday 30th November – just turn up in your club vest and register at the Pacers tent. No entry fee as the club covers this and EVERYONE is welcome and needed!

EACCL Wednesday League at Cart Gap – 26th November. You need a parkrun barcode and to register on the EACCL for a one time cost of £5 for this one.

Suffolk County XC Championships at Hadleigh, Sunday 4th January. Registration closes 19th December.

On Sunday we had the Pacers pups out at the first Raw Trails canicross event, with Barney and Fran Coles getting a course PB and myself and Ted getting a new 5k PB. Please do join the canicross group on Whatsapp if you would like to hear more about running with your dog.

Also on Sunday:

– Stacey Mockford was third female in the EAMA Wymondham 10k with her second fastest time over this distance.

– Steven Quercia-Smale recorded a huge PB of 31.24 over 10k in the Fulham 10k! Amazing run, well done!

– Pacers took on an orienteering challenge at Nowton Park, well done to Sophie Seward and Scott Williams for not getting lost.

Coming up this weekend we have the Hereward Relay on Sunday, we still really need a runner or two here so please let myself or Ian know if you can run. On the Junior side, we have the next race in the Grand Prix at Hadleigh. The latest standings are here and the full series details are here.
