Racing doesn’t have to just be for the adults!

Below is a selection of some of the races available for Juniors throughout the year. There aren’t many Junior focused races so it is worth looking at Senior races to check to see if they also have a fun run. Fun runs are a great way for U11s to race as many of the other races begin at U13.

Another great event is the weekly 2k junior Parkrun. These take place every Sunday at 9am and are for 4-14 year olds. Locally, there are events at Bury St.Edmunds, Stowmarket, Haverhill, Great Cornard, Mildenhall, Ipswich and Thetford. You will need to register online to get a barcode if you want your time to be registered.

Suffolk Schools Qualifying Races

There are two races (October and January). Those in the top 50 from race 1 will get through to race 2. From this race, Suffolk schools Athletics Association will select 16 runners to represent Suffolk Schools on the Anglian race in February.
