Suffolk Winter League - Nowton Park 26th October 2008

The third cross country race in the Suffolk Winter League takes place
this Sunday (November 16, 11am). It is a new course hosted by Bungay
and staged at Ditchingham, which is not far from the old HQ at Broome
(just the other side of Bungay, off the A143). We are currently fourth
in the team standings, but it's all quite close. The second race in
the East Anglian Wednesday League is at the University of East Anglia
in Norwich on Wednesday, November 19 (2.30pm start). Contact Carl
Marston on 07789 635203 for further information.

Major cross country events

We are all looking to enter teams into both the Suffolk County Cross Country Championships, and the South of England Championships, which will both take place in January.

The Suffolk Championships will be held at Haughley Park, Stowmarket, on Sunday, January 11, while the South of England event will be staged in north London (Uxbridge) on Saturday, January 24.

The intention is to field teams in all or as many age groups as possible. If you would like to run in one, or both, of these races, then please contact Carl Marston on 07789 635203. Juniors should contact Terry Rigby.

eacc wednesday league

Low- key friendly league, great fun. Wide variety of different courses all over East Anglia. Many treat it as a good hard training run or a change from the track. Ladies normally run one lap 4-5k and the men two 8-10k. Races start at 2:30 and are often followed by refreshments. Four to score in each team. Well worth taking an afternoon off. Contact Carl Marston (07789 635203) for further details and travel arrangements.
