| Park at Nowton Park warm up in the park and come out of the park where the Bury 5 and 20 does. Start on the white dotted lines at bottom of Fox and Pin Lane. Each mile is marked with a yellow dot sprayed in the middle of the road. As much of the course is on the Bury 20/nearly 10 course I didn't spray numbers incase it confused those setting out the Bury 20 course. Turn left at the end of Fox and Pin lane and follow the road until after about a mile and 3/4 you come to a T junction and turn left going down to Pinford End. Turn right just in front of large pink house signposted Whepstead. This bit's all uphill! At the next T junction turn left going towards Lawshall. The 4 mile point is shortly after this turn. Continue along the road which is known as straight road no prizes for guessing why and turn left at the T junction. Follow the road down into Hawstead. Left again in Hawstead the 6 mile point is close to the swings where the village hall used to stand. After the green on your right turn right up Bell lane towards Whelnetham and Stanningfield. This is another tough part of the course. Left at the T junction and follow the road down to Whelnetham where you turn left and follow the A134 back into Bury. Cross the road near the Rushbrooke arms be careful this is a busy road and run on the pavement. The 9 mile mark is on the pavement about 400m past the pub. The finish is not marked as it was far to busy to stop the truck but it is the last 40mph sign on the left about 200m before the sign that says "Welcome to Bury" and the first 30 miles an hour. Jog on about 400m take a left through the hedge and you come out into Plovers way and a short jog back to the park. Course record is 62.17 but then only a few of have run it . What can you do?
