High Lodge Forest Centre Nr Brandon

Description

Thetford Forest is located on the Norfolk/Suffolk Border is Britain's largest lowland pine forest covering 21,000 hectares and has miles and miles of both marked and unmarked traffic free trails, fantastic scenery and wildlife. Whatever distance you are training for or just fancy getting off the road and away from traffic High Lodge is an ideal location for runners, MTB enthusiasts and families. You can also enjoy a well earned toasted baguette and drink in the cafe after your run.
Several of the Forest regulars can usually be found meeting in the car park on Sunday mornings when there are not local races on - though it's best to email first to see who's about if you would like to run as part of a group.
A Forest Toll of approx £4 per car applies at High Lodge or an annual pass can be purchased for £24.

Directions

Enter the forest drive from the B1107 Thetford to Brandon Road. Travelling towards Brandon, the entrance can be found on the left, approximately ½ mile before Brandon. Follow the forest road for about 1½ miles and you will come across the car parking area.
