Thanks for a great day today

Despite Eloise’s trauma (hope all is now well? J) we managed to get the four teams out and had second in the Men’s Open and third in the Ladies Open.

A tremendous performance when last year we struggled to get two teams out at all.

Dave Overman

Managing the Club Relay teams is a difficult and frustrating task,
the time spent on the phone and computers just trying to get everyone in the right place at the right time is hard enough,
he is also first there to register us and last to leave because of the results.
 
Dave Overman is doing a fantastic job, lets keep supporting him.
 
A big thanks to Cathy Lambert for stepping up yesterday
and to Darren Barwick for responding at the last minute, thats what being in a club is all about.
 
Relays like yesterday's are not just about the teams that finish near the top, they are for everyone, all 4 of our teams were brilliant, a fantastic club day out
 "On, on the Pacers" lets keep our vests prominent.

I would just like to echo Pete’s thoughts on the enormous efforts that Dave puts in on our behalf. Anyone who has ever ‘managed’ anything will know what a difficult and mostly thankless task it is, and the fact that Dave does it so well, and always with a smile on his face, is vastly to his credit.  

It should be no surprise to me though. I don’t think that I have ever been made to feel so welcome at a new club – so thank you everyone, you are a great bunch.
